The invitation-only CEO Breakfast will feature an interactive, executive panel discussion with Clint Heiden, president of Sidera Networks, and Scott Widham, CEO of Alpheus Communications, both of whom were named Top Competitive Provider Executives of 2012 by Fierce Telecom. The panel will be moderated by COMPTEL CEO Jerry James, who will lead our panelists in a discussion about their history and experience in the industry, corporate strategies and views on the future.

Clint Heiden, President, Sidera Networks
Clint Heiden has served as president of Sidera Networks since 2011. Prior to that time, he was president of PAETEC Fiber Services and National Accounts, where he led all efforts related to the company’s fiber operations and strategy for retaining and growing its largest accounts. Heiden brings an entrepreneurial approach to business that is backed by nearly 20 years of executive experience within the telecom and Internet industries.  He has held executive positions for companies such as Cable & Wireless America, Qwest, UUNET, Intellifiber and InterCon Systems. Heiden earned a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.

Scott Widham, CEO,  Alpheus Communications
Scott Widham is CEO of Alpheus Communications, a regional fiber optic network and data center business in Texas. Prior to Alpheus, he served as CEO of Cobridge Communications, an owner and operator of cable television systems in the central portion of the United States. Before Cobridge, Widham was CEO of Broadwing Communications, a billion dollar fiber and data center company offering voice, data and video services to enterprise and wholesale customers. Broadwing was acquired by Level 3 in 2008 for $1.6B.  Earlier in his career, Widham was the founder and CEO of Capital Cable, a multi-system operator that owned cable systems across the U.S. and in Latin America. Capital Cable was acquired by Charter Communications. Widham also served as executive vice president of Corecomm and was a director at MTV Networks. Widham earned a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
